My Role
I am an independent educational consultant specializing in day and boarding school advising, partnering closely with families to find schools where children feel known, supported, and engaged as learners. I work with parents and students to identify environments that nurture meaningful learning while preparing students for future academic and personal milestones. Together, we create a personalized roadmap for the school searchand admissions process—one shaped by trust, insight, and flexibility. Because finding the right school is rarely a straight path, my work is grounded in patience, clarity, and thoughtful guidance every step of the way.
My Background
I entered the field of education in 1994 and have worked in a variety of settings, including public and independent schools as well as the teacher recruitment and placement industry. My commitment to professional development fuels my love of learning, and I strive to remain a trusted resource for peers in my greater helping profession.
I am a member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA), enjoying my three year term on the Schools Committee and remaining engaged with peers. Additionally, I value membership with Washington Independent Services for Educational Resources (WISER) to stay current with skilled professionals supporting families in the DC metro area for collaboration and on-going referrals. I am a graduate of Washington and Lee University with a BA in art history and an M.Ed in counselor education from the University of Virginia. I grew up in Houston and Washington, DC, and attended the National Cathedral School and am a graduate of the Pomfret School in Connecticut.
